Topock Gorge and Copper Canyon Boat Tour

Today we went on a 4 hour boat trip up the Colorado River from Lake Havasu. It was like a mini trip to the Grand Canyon. California side was on the left (mostly Indian Reservation land), and Arizona side was on the right. Today was hot at 99-104 degrees, so spending the noon hours on the boat was terrific. They even served us a lunch with the boat on one of the beaches. The ducks and birds came around to see if we were serving leftovers, which of course we did. Really beautiful lake. The name Havasu means blue looking down, green looking out, or blue green=havasu. We saw some wild donkeys on the California side. This area is known for copper and gold mining. This area is a play land for boaters. The boats we saw were easy $60,000.00.
