Texarkana RV Park

Drove about 6 hours to Texarkana. North Texas is rolling green hills with horse and cattle farms. Quite pretty. Very hot and humid here in Texarkana. Elwin went to put gas in our motor home this morning and the cap fell apart. He put it together the best he could, till we arrived here in Texarkana. A local auto parts store had it. It took two stores (Auto Zone, and  O'Reilly's), but we finally found a fit. Yeah!
Our gravel pad for the night. Tight quarters but full-hook-up for under $20.

Yes Cinderella, it fits.

Happy gas tank got new cover.

Wichita Falls RV Park

Drove to Wichita Falls today. The weather is hot at 94 degrees and quite windy at times. You feel it more with the Motor Home than a car. Got here early enough to do a Walmart run. The park here is nice with a muddy river bank. Lots of green grass and trees; a welcome site to us after a month of desert and rocks.
Our green spot next to muddy river below.

Muddy River.

Oasis RV Resort Amarillo, Texas

Finally in Texas. Very windy here. Found a great Resort with a fantastic hot tub and pool. Everything is new and paved. No dirty feet. Yeah! We are downwind of a cattle ranch, so this campground is scented. Changed time again today. Now on Central time.

Oops. The bathrooms here are tornado shelters. Yikes.

Elwin taking care of essentials.

Enchanted Trails Albuquerque, NM

Drove from Gallup to Albuquerque today. Short trip to get us lined up for distances and campgrounds for the next few days, as we are heading home. Will have to come back again and do the X-treme Balloon ride in Gallup. We are staying at the Enchanted Trails campground which we stayed at in 2012. Not much has changed. It is hot here at 95 degrees, but dry with a breeze.
Our site for the night.

Nice office

Nice view of the Sandia mountains.

Gallup New Mexico Cultural Museum

Today we spoiled ourselves and had an authentic Mexican breakfast at Jerry's Restaurant here in Gallup. Trip Advisor said it was a very good local restaurant. Boy were they right. The place was packed with locals and the food was awesome with great service. We then ambled around town shopping at all the trading posts for authentic Indian pottery and stuff. We might stay one more night if we can get a place on the Xtreme-Lee Hot Air Balloon trip. It is supposed to be fabulous taking you over all the desert formations here. I really enjoyed the Hot Air Balloon years ago, this one sounds even better. We will have to do the Balloon next time we are this way. The internet is slow here, but much better than Page, AZ. So today I am also posting all the previous excursions.

USA RV Park, Gallup, NM

Traveled 290 miles from Page, Az to Gallup, NM. Ended up in a nice park with great amenities and friendly people. We hope to stay a day or two to catch the sites.
Our gravel site for tonight. Nice pull-through site.
