A Four State Day

Today we traveled from Holt, Florida through Alabama, Mississippi, and to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We came to our KOA in a torrential rain storm with flooding, but we made it unscathed   Thank you Jesus.
We have had issues with the steps not working each day, which Elwin had to fix. Luckily tonight that was not a problem. Our back-up camera quit the first thing this morning. Channel 1 burned out. We tried Channel 2 this evening and it is up and running again. Go figure??? Our windshield wipers were flopping in all that rain and wind, but they are also fixed again. Our check engine light and braking system are making themselves known. I forgot that RVing is not always fun, and requires all of your resources mentally, and emotionally.
Our dry site for the night.

Went through this to get to our site.

Overnight in Holt, Florida

Staying at River's Edge RV Park. It is a Passport America park for $15.00 for the night. Cannot complain. Had 30 AMP service and dirt roads, but nice shady trees and a river to walk along. Glad to rest the night. We are now on Central Time and gained an hour.
Our lovely shaded site.

Lake City RV Resort, Lake City Florida

Got off to a rough start this morning. We hit the post on the house with the motor home. Luckily the damage was only cosmetic. It sure gave us a jolt. After repairing the damage, we closed up the house and headed out I-95 to I-10. After 250 miles we got off and found this lovely place right off the interstate. We do not have to unhook and the facilities are spotless and clean. Ahhh, first day out seems stressful, so nice to finally get on the road.
Oops!

Cleaned off the paint and it is good as new.

Home for the night.

Gravel and grass with easy pull-through.
